POSITION SUMMARY:   Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Maintenance perform maintenance and installation of all electrical circuits, air-conditioning control systems, refrigeration systems and kitchen appliances.

      QUALIFICATIONS:   Associate degree in refrigeration & air-conditioning technology or equivalent experience

                                          EPA Refrigerant certification (non-automotive)

                                          Valid Texas driver’s license     

               EXPERIENCE:   Five years experience in trouble shooting & installing commercial HVAC equipment and                                                         refrigeration equipment preferred  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Knowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally)
• Ability to operate power and hand tools
• Ability to work independently

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Troubleshoot and repair system and equipment malfunctions
• Maintain electrical circuits throughout district (DX and Hydronic)
• Maintain and trouble shoot DDC controls on HVAC equipment
• Maintain and trouble shoot refrigeration controls and equipment, and kitchen equipment
• Other duties as assigned        

250 Days per year
